According to Fox News, representatives of Brittney Griner shared a message from the wrongfully imprisoned woman on October 18. “Thank you, everyone, for fighting so hard to get me home. All the support and love are definitely helping me,” She said. The message appreciating the support comes after an outpouring of loving messages sent to Griner for her birthday that just recently passed.
The #WeAreBG campaign website, run by her wife, Cherelle, posted a video in which Cherelle spoke out about how hard it’s been without Brittney. “I’ve felt every moment of the grueling seven months without her,” She continued to thank everyone for sending birthday messages for her wife.
NBA Star Steph Curry gave a shout-out to her at the recent ring ceremony.
“Brittney Griner’s birthday is today. She’s 32 years old. We want to continue to let her name be known, and we pray – it’s been 243 days since she’s been wrongfully incarcerated in Russia- we hope that she comes home soon and that everybody’s doing their part to bring her home.”
