Arbitrator Orders The Reinstatement Of The Oklahoma Officers Responsible For The Death Of Unarmed Black Man, Quadry Sanders

Two Oklahoma police officers charged with first-degree manslaughter for fatally shooting an unarmed Black man were ordered reinstatement and placed on administrative leave.

According to KSWO, Nathan Ronan (white cop) and Robert Hinkle (Black cop) were the two heartless and clueless cops who shot and killed 29-year-old Quadry Sanders in December 2021 while responding to reports about a man waving a gun inside a home.

Bodycam footage released by the Lawtom Department

showed Sanders stepping out from behind a refrigerator with his hat in his hands, but both hands visible.

When he saw multiple cops pointing guns, he attempted to return behind the fridge out of fear. His hand reached into his pocket, but he quickly pulled it out with nothing in it. But the two trigger-happy officers began shooting him four times.

Sanders tried to sit back up and show his empty hands, but the cops didn’t give him a chance and shot several more times. Sanders dragged himself back to his back door but couldn’t go further.

The officers instructed him to roll over on his stomach, but a dying Sanders couldn’t. One of the cold-hearted cops dragged Sanders by the leg, a trail of blood following. They proceeded to handcuff him despite his state.

The outlet reported that an arbitrator found that Ronan and Hinkle acted within their training and ordered reinstatement.

Ronan’s reinstatement date is 30 days from the award date, but Hinkle’s reinstatement date wasn’t specified.

The reinstatement orders do not impact their manslaughter legal battle, but they also aren’t official. Lawton city officials, who disagree with the arbitrator’s decision, can appeal the decision.

In a statement to the outlet, city officials claimed they are “reviewing all options to determine whether to appeal the arbitrator’s decisions.”

“While City Officials disagree with the awards and are disappointed with the outcome, it is important for citizens to understand that arbitration proceedings are strictly administrative in nature and that they are limited to administrative violations,” the statement read.

Please be advised that the body cam footage is gruesome.
