With fame comes hate, and LSU forward Angel Reese knows much about that, as the latest social media frenzy showed. But she clapped back at haters.
The Neighborhood Talk posted screenshots of Angelâs momâs Instagram story that seemingly took shots at the mother of her daughterâs teammate, Flauâjae Johnson, calling out her âgrammatical errors.â
âFolks, [please] do not send me long text [messages] with a bunch of grammatical errors. It gives me a headache. How do I know you said what you said if I canât understand what youâre saying,â Angel Webb Reese, the LSU starâs mom, wrote on her IG story.
Flauâ Jae Johnsonâs mother, Kia Brooks, clapped back on her Instagram story, spewing a shocking allegation about the 21-year-oldâs education.
âYou definitely know about grammar errors when your daughter got a 2.0 or less GPA,â Kia wrote. âAnd in fact, when writing your smart message, you didnât capitalize nor did you use any periods. Stop being petty, fake and hateful. And take responsibility for you and your daughterâs actions.â
Kia continued, â[Youâre] just as responsible you raised her that way. Nobody gives a damn who you think you are since you came off anotherâs brand. Just like God gave it to you, He will take it right away. Always stay humble and never forget who made you and where you came from!â
On her private X account, Angelâs mother affirmed she never criticized FlauâJae or her mother in her IG story post.Â
âUnlike some, I would not nor have I ever directly or indirectly criticized another child on social media. I have a life outside of my kids, and my posts often reflect that.â
The back and forth commenced last week, with many critics slamming the 21-year-old forward, claiming her recent fame boosted her ego and assuming her inflated ego impacted her education.
Before FlauâJae and Angelâs momâs beef, LSU Tigers womenâs basketball coach Kim Mulkey announced Angel was away from the team but wouldnât explain why, leading many to think Kiaâs low GPA allegation had something to do with it.
Amid all the chatter, Angel showed her haters that their words didnât impact her.
She took to TikTok to flaunt her beauty with coach Deion âPrimeâ Sandersâ viral âopinionâ speech.
âWhat about me would make you think that I care about your opinion of me? Your opinion of me is not the opinion I have for myself. You ainât make me, so you canât break me,â Coach Prime said in the audio.
