After a video went viral of a woman leaving an Amazon delivery truck looking disheveled, the driver was terminated from the mega-retailer.
Tywan George, from Tampa, Florida, was caught on camera after giving “his partner” as special delivery while on the job. TMZ caught up with the man after being fired to discuss what took place in the delivery truck. Tywan said he would do “‘what any other man in America would do in his situation.”
“I was delivering packages…making ends meet,” Tywan explained. “Oh, the woman in the video that’s my partner. You already know what I’m saying. I know her personally, you know what I’m saying?”
Another video showing the employee getting jiggy inside the truck didn’t help Tywan’s case either.

An Amazon spokesperson told the news outlet that Tywan’s actions didn’t “reflect the high standards we have for our Delivery Service Partners and their drivers.”
The spokesperson explained that company policy prohibits unauthorized passengers from entering amazon vehicles.
Although Tywan is now unemployed, he maintained that the public perceived the video as something it didn’t. He also revealed he knew he would be fired and claimed he had only broken the policy once.
“Everybody misconstrued the video,” he told TMZ. “Rent is high in town for everything. It’s just hot. It was making ends meet, basically. If you get what I’m saying.”
In light of being terminated from Amazon, Tywan can perhaps pick up some hours at a club for his dancing skills.
On Oct. 24, TikTok user @PatrickHook1 posted the footage, and it garnered over 135,000 shares. TMZ reported that the video had initially been recorded in June.

Twitter reactions to the video were hilarious, of course.
