Matthew Webb, the McDonald’s employee shot in the neck in Brooklyn, succumbed to his injuries on Thursday. Now, suspect Michael Morgan has been charged with second-degree murder.
The 23-year-old fast food worker was reportedly punched in the face by Morgan, then shot in the neck after the suspect’s trifling mother, Lisa Fulmore, 40, allegedly
convinced her dim-witted son to come to the McDonald’s because she was upset about cold french fries. Webb was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was placed on life support before physicians declared him brain dead.Though the investigation is “ongoing,” there’s been no confirmation if Fulmore will also face charges for her alleged involvement in Webb’s murder. Morgan, 20, was initially charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon. The charges were upgraded to second-degree murder early Friday morning.
Morgan also implicated himself in the 2020 murder of 28-year-old Kevin Holloman in Brooklyn. He confessed to the crime after he was arrested for allegedly shooting Webb on Monday. Holloman was shot to death in front of a residential building on Herkimer Street in the Stuyvesant Heights section of Brooklyn. NYPD detectives suspected Morgan to be Holloman’s killer but didn’t have enough evidence at the time to arrest him.
Morgan is being held without bond.
