A Texas 12-year-old football star has social media in a frenzy over his manly looks.
Jeremiah Johnson, of Fort Worth, Texas, won an MVP honors award at the Youth National Championships (YNC) earlier this month in Miami. A photo was taken of Jeremiah in his 12U football uniform, and the Fort Worth preteen donned a full mustache and tattoos. In the picture, he looked like a full-grown adult and as the image circulated online– social media users questioned his age.

According to its website, The Youth National Championships “is an elite playoff series that was created to provide a platform for (non-all-star) youth football teams to compete at a national level in a well-organized and professional manner. The YNC will crown a true National Champion at every age level from 6U-14U.”
Jeremiah’s team is for boys 12 years and under, and proof of age is required for every player.
On December 11, the 12-year-old boy’s mother, Shana Evans, took to Facebook to address Jeremiah’s mature looks and assured folks on social media that her son is very much a child.
“Before I lay it down, I just want y’all to know….my baby going viral. These folks is going in…SO….Yes, he’s on 12U (he meets ALL of the requirements). No, the tattoo isn’t real (duh). Yes, the goatee is tho. ,” Shana wrote.
