10-Year-Old Missouri Girl Miracle Helps Deliver Baby Sister When Mother Went Into Labor Three Weeks Early

10-year-old Missouri girl Miracle lived up to her name, as she helped deliver her baby sister when their mother went into labor three weeks early.

According to KMOV, Miracle took immediate action after her mother, Viola Fair, went into labor three weeks early. As such, Viola had to deliver her baby from home on Oct. 23, the North County Fire & Rescue (NCFR) shared

on Facebook. Miracle’s five-year-old sister, Taylor, was also at the residence during that time.

“She was in a lot of pain, and I felt bad, so I wanted to help her,” the heroic young girl told KMOV.

When Viola went into labor, she told Miracle to dial 911, connecting her to dispatcher Scott Stranghoener, Central County Emergency 911 (CCE911) confirmed. During the call, Scott calmly guided her over the phone.

“She did amazing. she never questioned anything,” the dispatcher said. “She did exactly as she was asked, and we’re left with a beautiful baby girl.”

Miracle reportedly wiped her newborn sister’s face and kept her warm as they waited for paramedics to arrive. She even helped first responders get the baby to cry for the first time.

“Everything went perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better miracle or anyone else on the scene. Everyone played their part. She is super brave for what she did,” paramedic Blake Alicea said.

Miracle’s mom added that she wouldn’t have known what to do if it were her in the same position.

“It’s kind of nice because I wouldn’t have known what to do,” she said. “I would have left. I wouldn’t have known how to deliver a baby.

Scott said kids typically make the best 911 calls because they listen to directions better than adults do.

According to an NCFR, the organization, alongside CCE911 and CHEM authorities, gifted Miracle some custom gear for her bravery. She received a tablet with educational games, a stork pin, special certificates, a personalized shirt, and a journal.
